Abstract:

Snapshot photograph album compiled by an unidentified Asian man (likely Japanese-American) documenting his tourism via automobile in various California locations in the early 20th century. The compiler is depicted with various persons, including several men with Japanese names (e.g. S. Iizuka, M. Yamaguchi, Yeo. Jato, etc.) who are perhaps visiting from abroad. Unidentified locations include mountains, coastal areas, parks, boats, agricultural regions, oil fields and cities. Identified locations and events include San Francisco and the Panama-Pacific International Exposition of 1915.
